Hello! I'm
I’m in a season of life filled with mud, imagination, puddles of every kind, paint, sand, loud voices, woofs, adventures, and discovery. The moments are precious, incredible and fleeting, as they are continuously replaced with new moments, just as precious, and just as fleeting.
I receive such a rush from creating things whether it’s drawing, painting, making music, creating “safe-ish” play structures out of the random tree debris in the back yard. Creating is the only time when I’ve ever reached a level of motivation to the point of obsession…where there is such a flow of mind that time stands still and you can’t stop.
The ideas keep getting better and your heart and soul explode with a feeling of freedom and expression that can’t come from anything else. Then cue butterflies and adrenaline rush. This comes through in my photography! When the freedom within a pose is mixed with authentic human connection it's magic!
My appreciation for photography began quite young. My grandmother and I used to look through her collection of ancient family photos, dating back to the time when photography itself was brand new. I was fascinated! I loved seeing where and who I came from, notice the family resemblances and listen to old stories of each person. I know how important it is to document the lives of our family. It’s how we keep our valuable fleeting moments safe. These memories, with a photo and story that go together, can be handed down through generations.
